What has been your career highlight to date?
My highlight at university was the end-of-year Northumbria REVEAL show 2022. I was able to showcase my final university project, meet numerous working professionals and gain insight into the working world. I would also say the trip to London in my final year was another highlight, I really enjoyed seeing the architecture and touring the museums – the V&A was my favourite!

I am currently working on a manor house project in Solihull. I am really enjoying gaining insight into the scheme and it’s exciting to see this project come to life.
What is your favourite part of the design process?
I enjoy the whole design process however what I have been enjoying the most since joining Bernard Interiors is the fine detailing of a project and being involved in transforming the client’s ideas into reality.
Who inspires you in the design world?
I am inspired by many professionals and designers, in particular Beata Heuman. I admire her imaginative designs and how she creates exciting and exuberant spaces, using vivid colours and patterns.
What do you get up to outside of work?
I enjoy travelling the world, especially city breaks where I can experience different cultures and architecture. I recently visited my favourite city Barcelona with my mum where we saw all the Gaudí attractions, an unforgettable experience. Whilst travelling I have also been developing my sketchbook of watercolour studies. I also love spending quality time with my loved ones in my downtime, especially going home to visit my parents and my two sausage dogs.
What’s your favourite thing about living in the northeast?
I love the range of things that are available on your doorstep, you can experience the city lifestyle with the beach and the countryside just around the corner.
